Classic World runs on Windows and macOS through the Nexon Launcher or the MapleStory listing on Steam. On Steam, Classic World is bundled with MapleStory app 216150. An account can create up to 3 characters. New accounts cannot trade until 24 hours after a character on the account reaches level 15.
Day one
Founder's Access, then Grand Launch
Founder's Access opened on October 6, 2026 for Orange Mushroom and Zakum package buyers. Grand Launch on October 21, 2026 opened the world to everyone. The live Grand Launch build is v.1.0.0.
Three characters and a trade wait
Up to 3 characters can be created per account. Deleting a character has a waiting period before that character leaves the account. Trading stays locked until 24 hours after a character reaches level 15.
Language and controls
English is the official language. Spanish and Korean are beta. Class names, cash items, and pets stay in English, and the in-game UI stays in English. Classic Style and Modern Style are both available. Modern Style uses WASD. Xbox and PlayStation controllers are supported and start off.
Maple Island, then a job town
Every character starts as a Beginner on Maple Island. At level 10 the first job is Warrior, Magician, Bowman, or Thief. At level 12, citizenship opens with Arthur in Henesys and Roxy in Kerning City. A citizen with grade Visitor or higher can buy one house, from Bianca in Henesys or Scarlett in Kerning City. Housing is shared by the account.

Crafting professions
Crafting is available at level 10 and has six professions: Smithing, Weaponcrafting, Tailoring, Woodcrafting, Leatherworking, and Arcforge. The Grand Launch notes print Silas Irons for Smithing. The crafting list records that NPC as Silas. The other five names match the notes.
