MapleStory Classic World patch notes

The version of record is v.1.0.0. On October 21, 2026 the Grand Launch maintenance updated MapleStory Classic World to that version and expanded Windia to 40 channels. On October 22, 2026 an unscheduled maintenance added the Debt System, was marked completed at 2:14 PM PDT, and published no new version number. A Steam login screenshot still prints Ver. 0.3.0. That corner string is not the maintenance version.

Founder's Access opened on October 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM PDT for Zakum and Orange Mushroom package buyers. Grand Launch on October 21 opened the world to everyone. After 6:00 PM UTC that day, Megaphone, Super Megaphone, Item Megaphone, and Double Item Megaphone require level 15. Copies already in an inventory keep the level 10 requirement. Forgotten Hollow stays closed. The Grand Launch notes say the path has not been discovered and the area opens in November, with no day.

Founder's Access let package buyers create a Beginner two weeks before Grand Launch and use Citizenship and Crafting. Packages could be bought or upgraded until 11:59 PM PDT on October 14. Mailbox claims run through November 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM UTC, once per account on each platform, and the character has to leave Maple Island before the package items open. The October 8 Classic World maintenance cut the Coconut sell price from 145 mesos to 10, narrowed Cleric Heal, and blocked Heal when MP was short. A separate October 8 notice updated the main MapleStory client to v.271.4.0. That notice is not this world's patch. The October 15 minor patch added Korean (Beta) next to English and Spanish (Beta). Chat accepts characters those three languages support, and megaphones stay English-only. PC Gamer and Siliconera reported that Miyoung Oh, known as Nemi, leads Classic World.

The scheduled maintenance ran from 6:00 AM PDT and was planned to end around 11:00 AM PDT. It set Classic World to v.1.0.0, expanded Windia to 40 channels, added Kerning City Party Quest on channels 8-12, opened Free Market rooms 12-20, and added The Murky Swamp II plus new Victoria Island quests and drops. Swordsman HP recovery from items changed from +5-20% to +20-50%. Iron Body weapon defense changed from +5-25% to +20-40%. Magician MP recovery from items changed from +5-20% to +10-25%. Dark Sight now renders the character semi-transparent to players outside the party. Potion drops increased for monsters from level 10 to 30, field-boss respawns were made more random, and the stagger floor was raised for Copper Drake, Tortie Drake, Red Drake, and Wild Kargo. Steam appdetails also lists movie 257472981, titled Global MapleStory Classic World Grand Launch Trailer, as a highlight.

October 22 follow-up

The unscheduled maintenance started at 1:00 PM PDT on October 22, 2026 and was marked completed at 2:14 PM PDT. Cash Shop items already in inventory were extended for 2 hours, and players were told to restart the Nexon Launcher or Steam. The change list adds the Debt System, makes Green selectable with the Signature Eye Color Coupon, and lets accounts that have not reached level 15 and waited 24 hours drop Kerning City Party Quest coupons and passes. The notice also says optimizations and preventative measures were added after a larger than expected Grand Launch, without listing those measures. The saved Nexon page for the Debt System did not include the article text. MapleClassic Wiki's home page summarizes that post as a meso debt on accounts caught buying or selling mesos or items for real money. Until the debt is repaid, the account cannot trade, open shops, gift from the Cash Shop, or drop items. Forgotten Hollow is still the November opening from the Grand Launch notes, and no day is given.
